Sergio Agüero

Manchester City FC

• The man responsible for arguably the most dramatic moment in the English Premier League's 20-year history when, on the final day of the season, he scored the added-time winner for Manchester City FC against Queens Park Rangers FC that gave his club the title on goal difference ahead of local rivals Manchester United FC.

• Ended his debut season at City – following a €45m move from Club Atlético de Madrid – with 30 goals in all competitions, 23 of them in the Premier League, placing him third in the standings behind Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney.

• Helped Argentina get off to a good start in the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, finding the net in home wins against Ecuador and Uruguay.
