Klaas-Jan Huntelaar

FC Schalke 04

• Became the first Dutchman to win the German Bundesliga's top-scorer prize with his 29 goals for FC Schalke 04 in 2011/12, helping the Gelsenkirchen club finish third and qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

• Also struck ten times in the UEFA Europa League as Schalke reached the quarter-finals, making him the second highest marksman in the competition behind Falcao of winners Club Atlético de Madrid.

• Featured little in the Netherlands' UEFA EURO 2012 campaign despite being the qualifying competition's top scorer, but was on target for the Oranje three times at the start of the 2012/13 season plus once each in Schalke's first two away games in the UEFA Champions League, helping secure victories at Olympiacos FC and Arsenal FC.
