Porto make move for Mexico defender Reyes

Round of 16 contenders FC Porto have confirmed the acquisition of Mexican international Diego Reyes, although the 20-year-old defender will not join the Dragons until the summer.

FC Porto have announced the signing of Diego Reyes for an undisclosed fee from Mexican outfit Club de Futbol América, where the defender will remain until the summer.

The 20-year-old has agreed a contract until 2018 with the Dragons, who will discover their UEFA Champions League round of 16 opponents when the draw is made in Nyon on Thursday.

Capped three times by Mexico, all in the 2011 Copa América, Reyes helped his club finish fourth in the 2012/13 Torneo Apertura and was a member of the national Under-23 side which won gold at the London Olympics.
