• Manuel Neuer has played every minute of Bayern's campaign.

• Jérôme Boateng is banned for both legs of the tie following his matchday six dismissal. Bastian Schweinsteiger serves a one-game suspension following his first-leg booking; Dante and Javi Martínez will incur a ban with their next yellow cards.

• Bayern were one of three last-16 teams who did not add to their squads, with Celtic FC and FC Barcelona.

Miscellaneous
• Boateng scored his first Bundesliga goal in his 130th German top-flight match as Bayern twice came from behind to beat Fortuna Düsseldorf 3-2 on Saturday. With Borussia Dortmund and Bayer 04 Leverkusen both losing, Jupp Heynckes' side are now 20 points clear at the summit.

• Thomas Müller was on target with his 44th Bundesliga goal – the same number mustered for Bayern by Franz Beckenbauer and Michael Ballack.

• Dante was rested against Düsseldorf; he had not previously missed a minute of Bundesliga action since joining Bayern last summer. Arjen Robben missed the match due to a calf problem while Franck Ribéry picked up strained ankle ligaments despite completing 90 minutes.

• Bayern have won eight in a row in the Bundesliga in 2013, surpassing Dortmund's league record for the start to a calendar year set last term. Their haul of 66 points from 25 games is a German top-flight record.

• Heynckes' side have won their last 11 matches and are 23 games unbeaten in all competitions, since a 2-1 loss to Leverkusen on 28 October.

• Bayern have won 11 out of 12 on their travels in the Bundesliga this season, already equalling the record for most away victories in a campaign. They have conceded just once in the process.

• Tom Starke made his league debut for Bayern in their 1-0 win at the keeper's former club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim on 3 March; Neuer was rested.

• On 16 January Bayern announced that Josep Guardiola will succeed Heynckes on a three-year deal this summer.

• Bayern secured the title of autumn champions (the side top of the Bundesliga after 17 matches going into the winter break) with three games to spare – no team has ever achieved it earlier.

• Holger Badstuber could miss the rest of the season after rupturing knee ligaments against Dortmund on 1 December.

• On 27 February, Bayern's honorary president Beckenbauer received the UEFA President's Award from Michel Platini.

• Jan Kirchhoff, a 22-year-old who can play at the back or as a holding midfielder, will link up with Bayern from 1. FSV Mainz 05 this summer on a three-year deal.

• Bayern's eight straight Bundesliga victories at the start of the season was a new record, surpassing the mark of seven set by themselves (1995/96), 1. FC Kaiserslautern (2001/02) and Mainz (2010/11).

• Bayern started the season with nine straight victories in all competitions – the last time they began with even six, in 2000/01, they claimed the UEFA Champions League.

Arsenal

UEFA Champions League statistics
• In the 2-2 draw at FC Schalke 04 on matchday four, Arsenal surrendered a two-goal lead in the UEFA Champions League for only the second time.

• The 2-0 loss to Schalke on matchday three was Arsenal's first in the group stage at home since September 2003.

• The London club have had 19 shots wide, the lowest total of the teams still involved.

• Thomas Vermaelen has played all 630 minutes of Arsenal's campaign.

• The Gunners have collected 20 yellow cards, more than any other side heading into the second legs.

• Vermaelen, Mikel Arteta, Lukas Podolski, Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Laurent Koscielny are within a booking of a ban.

Miscellaneous
• The Gunners were not in action at the weekend as scheduled opponents Everton FC were in FA Cup action. Arsenal's own ambitions ended with a 1-0 loss to second-tier Blackburn Rovers FC on 16 February in the last 16, suffering FA Cup elimination by lower-league opposition for the first time under Arsène Wenger. It was their first FA Cup defeat at home in 35 matches.

• Theo Walcott has struck 11 league goals this term, reaching double figures for the first time in his career. The forward, who was due to be out of contract this summer, signed a new long-term deal with Arsenal in January.

• Cazorla has also scored 11 league goals this season, surpassing his best return for a top-flight campaign of nine set with Málaga CF last term.

• Kieran Gibbs has not featured since picking up a thigh strain suffered on 30 January.

• With 21 points from 15 games, Arsenal made their worst start to a league season since 1994/95 (19).

• Tomáš Rosický missed the first four months of the campaign with a tendon problem. Łukasz Fabiański, who injured his ankle in training on 16 October, has not played this season.
