Sweden look for better start

Sweden coach Lars Lagerbäck wants his players to hit the high notes earlier in Tuesday's match against rivals Denmark.

Wonder goal
The Swedes were troubled by Bulgaria early in their game until stepping through the gears to record a comprehensive 5-0 victory, and were second best against Italy until Zlatan Ibrahimovic's wonder goal restored parity in the 85th minute on Friday.

Tight game predicted
"If you look at the matches we've played so far it has taken us too long to get into the game, but after a while we've done that and then all has gone well. Games against Denmark are always tight and I don't think tomorrow will be an exception," said joint coach Lars Lagerbäck.

Winning mentality
"We are always talking about winning games, and tomorrow is no different. We've spoken a lot about the Italy and Bulgaria matches and we've also had a look at Denmark, and if we can close them down early in the game we'll have a good chance," he continued.

Attack-minded
Lagerbäck's thoughts were echoed by Arsenal FC midfield player Fredrik Ljungberg, who is looking forward to meeting Sweden's closest rivals. "I am sure Denmark will attack and go for the win, and so will we. They've got good players on the flanks, but so do we. I feel I am in great form, and to meet Denmark will be extra special. There is a rivalry between the nations, no doubt," Ljungberg said.

Linderoth suspended
Sweden will be forced to make at least one change as defensive midfield player Tobias Linderoth is suspended. Celtic FC's experienced Johan Mjällby and SC Heerenveen's Petter Hansson will compete to take Linderoth's place. However, experienced defender Teddy Lucic is recovering well from injury and should be available for selection.
