Tottenham Hotspur FC full-back Kyle Walker has signed a new contract that is set to keep him in north London until 2019.

Walker has been at White Hart Lane since joining from Sheffield United FC in July 2009, though he has subsequently had loan spells back at Bramall Lane, as well as at Queens Park Rangers FC and Aston Villa FC. However, he has since become a mainstay of the Spurs side, starting all but three of their Premier League fixtures in the past three seasons.

The 23-year-old has made a total of 112 appearances for Spurs, scoring twice. He has also become a regular fixture in the England squad and started both qualifiers earlier this month as Roy Hodgson's side booked their place at next summer's FIFA World Cup.

Walker has featured only once in this season's UEFA Europa League group stage, playing throughout the 2-0 win at FC Anji Makhachkala on matchday two. André Villas-Boas's team, top of Group K with three wins from three, host FC Sheriff on 7 November.
