'Unique opportunity'
Zé Maria, 31, has agreed a two-year contract with Inter. He said: "I already know several Inter players so I will not have any problems adapting to my new team. I am full of enthusiasm and looking forward to this new adventure. It is a unique opportunity for me. Now I have to prove that I deserve to wear such an important shirt."
Eighth signing
He is Inter's eighth summer signing after Giuseppe Favalli, Nicolas Andrés Burdisso, Lampros Choutos, Edgar Davids, Juan Sebastián Verón, Esteban Cambiasso and Sinisa Mihajlovic. The club meet FC Basel in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.
Fusani move
Fusani, meanwhile, had been half-owned by Perugia and Inter, although the 25-year-old never played for the Milan club, spending the last three seasons at the Renato Curi stadium after stepping up from lower-league US Brescello.
