FC Aktobe booked their place in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round after three second-half strikes gave them a resounding 4-0 aggregrate win against FC Dinamo Tbilisi.

The hosts went into the game with an all-important away goal after edging a close encounter in Georgia last Wednesday. Tbilisi, seeking a foothold in the tie, frustrated Aktobe until the 75th minute when the hosts broke the deadlock through Olexiy Antonov. Further efforts from Igor Zenkovich and Abat Aimbetov added gloss to the scoreline.

Following a goalless first half, Dinamo were unlucky not to go ahead on the night and level the tie up when Elguja Grigalashvili forced Andrei Sidelnikov into a smart save midway through the second period.

That missed opportunity would come back to haunt the visitors as just eight minutes later Aktobe took a crucial lead. Antonov fired in superbly from long range after Marat Khayrullin had picked out the Ukrainian forward.

Moments after his 81st-minute introduction, Zenkovich doubled Aktobe's advantage to put the game out of Tbilisi's reach. Aimbetov then capitalised on a mix-up in the visitors' penalty area to make it 3-0 in added time.
