Switzerland powered into the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship finals by winning elite round Group 1 in Turkey by a six-point margin.

Switzerland stormed to the UEFA European Women's Under-17 Championship finals by topping elite round Group 1 by a six-point margin. The Alpine nation now await the final-tournament draw from 13.30CET on Wednesday 29 April at Reykjavik City Hall in Iceland, streamed live on UEFA.com.

Winners: Switzerland dominated the group with impressive teamwork, their attacking combinations providing 12 of the 16 goals they scored. They never looked back after beating Serbia 8-1 last Saturday, following it with 4-0 successes over hosts Turkey on Monday and Finland today.

Other performances: Turkey won 2-1 against Finland, who then prevailed by the same scoreline on matchday two versus Serbia. In turn, the Serbian side overcame the hosts 2-0 today to grab second place in a section where three teams finished level on three points apiece. Tijana Filipović netted in all of Serbia's games.

Key moment: Finland's last-minute goal against Serbia from outside the box came via the left foot of Amanta Rantanen and earned their only victory.

Star performer: Switzerland captain Camille Surdez ended as top scorer for the elite round of qualification with six goals.

Reaction:
Monica Di Fonzo, Switzerland coach
It was our aim to qualify for the European Championship and to win this mini-tournament in Turkey. We believed from start to finish that we could win the group, with a lot of hard work, to qualify for the final tournament.
