Renato Sanches becomes third-youngest EURO scorer

Aged 18 years 317 days, Portugal's Renato Sanches has become the third-youngest player to score in a EURO finals with his quarter-final goal against Poland.

Renato Sanches has become the third-youngest player to score at a EURO finals after hitting Portugal's equaliser in their quarter-final against Poland.

The midfielder, who will join Bayern München from Benfica after the tournament, marked his first senior international start with his first goal. He becomes the eighth teenager to find the net at a EURO and the first since 2004, when Johan Vonlanthen, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo all found the net.

Sanches is also the youngest player to score a EURO knockout goal.
