Hamstrung Ooijer out for PSV

Group E contenders PSV Eindhoven will be without André Ooijer for at least a month after a hamstring injury.

UEFA Champions League contenders PSV Eindhoven will be without André Ooijer for at least a month after the defender pulled a hamstring at the weekend.

Panathinaikos profit
The 30-year-old Dutch international was injured during the first half of Saturday's 4-0 league win against SC Heerenveen. He will miss Wednesday's Group E visit of Panathinaikos FC and at least the first of the back-to-back matches against Rosenborg BK, on 20 October and 2 November.

Van Basten blow
Netherlands coach Marco van Basten will also be without the services of the 15-times capped Ooijer, who will be sidelined when the national team take on F.Y.R. Macedonia and Finland in FIFA World Cup qualifiers next month. PSV coach Guus Hiddink confirmed: "I think André will be out for about four to six weeks. He overstretched his hamstring against Heerenveen."
