Valencia CF right-back Curro Torres has agreed a new four-year contract with the Spanish champions.

Experienced defender
The 27-year-old Spanish international is in his fourth season with Valencia after returning to the Mestalla in July 2001 following spells with RC Recreativo de Huelva and CD Tenerife. He would have been free to leave in June when his previous contract was due to expire, but is now tied to the club until 30 June 2009.

Medal winner
Curro Torres has been an integral part of Valencia's recent successes. He has twice won the Spanish Primera División title and also collected a UEFA Cup winner's medal last season, before playing his part in the UEFA Super Cup triumph over FC Porto at the end of August.
