Mols makes Utrecht return

Former Dutch international striker Michael Mols has returned to FC Utrecht following his release by Rangers FC.

Michael Mols has rejoined FC Utrecht following his release by Rangers FC in the summer.

Six caps
The 33-year-old striker, capped six times by the Netherlands, played at FC Twente and Cambuur Leeuwarden before signing for Utrecht in 1996. He scored 49 goals for the club in his first spell then moved to Scotland in 1999.

Enthusiastic
After signing the contract, which will keep him at the Galgenwaard stadium until 2006, Mols said: "I always said I wanted to come back here one day." Mols will start training for Utrecht next week, but will be ineligible for their UEFA Cup group-stage campaign.
