Calf injury keeps out Krzynówek

Bayer 04 Leverkusen will enter next week's decisive Group B match against FC Dynamo Kyiv without Jacek Krzynówek.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen will go into their decisive UEFA Champions League Group B match against FC Dynamo Kyiv next week without injured midfield player Jacek Krzynówek.

Pulled calf muscle
The 28-year-old Polish international pulled a calf muscle in training today. He will miss both the Bundesliga match against VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday and the game at home to Dynamo four days later, which Leverkusen must win to guarantee their place in the first knockout round, although they need only match Real Madrid CF's result at AS Roma.

Important goals
Krzynówek has been involved in all five of Leverkusen's Group B games, scoring important goals against both Madrid and Roma. "Sadly he is not going to be fit for the match against Dynamo," said Augenthaler, whose side are two points behind the Ukrainian champions but ahead of Madrid on their head-to-head record.
