Aachen's loan swoop for Schlaudraff

TSV Alemannia Aachen have signed midfielder Jan Schlaudraff on loan from VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach

TSV Alemannia Aachen have completed the loan signing of midfielder Jan Schlaudraff from VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Eighteen-month loan
The 21-year-old will join Aachen immediately after the two clubs reached a loan agreement that will see the German Under-21 international spend the next 18 months with the 2. Bundesliga club. Schlaudraff will be eligible to play in the UEFA Cup, where Aachen face AZ Alkmaar in the last 32 in February.

'I need games'
"Jan Schlaudraff is a young German player and he has got a lot of potential," said Aachen manager Jörg Schmadtke. "I need games to improve and my chances of playing are better in Aachen," said Schlaudraff, who made only six appearances for Mönchengladbach in the first part of the Bundesliga season.
