AC Milan left-back Giuseppe Pancaro has renewed his contract with the Rossoneri until 2006.
Championship triumph
The 33-year-old defender joined Milan in 2003 after six seasons with S.S. Lazio and made 21 appearances last season as the Rossoneri clinched their 17th Italian title. This season he has played 12 times in Serie A and once in the UEFA Champions League. A full Italian international, Pancaro won the 1998 Coppa Italia, 1999 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup and a domestic double in 2000 during his spell with Lazio.
United task
Pancaro is the second veteran defender to agree a new deal with Milan this week after Alessandro Costacurta. Carlo Ancelotti's side will face Manchester United FC in the Champions League first knockout round with the first leg at Old Trafford on 23 February.
