Hiddink hungry for more goals

The return match will be decisive but I can tell you that PSV won't play defensively. We will try and score over there. We started this game very strongly, and played the first half at a very good pace. We scored an excellent goal from the corner and then had some other half-chances. Monaco came into the match as it went on and the game was more balanced in the second half. We tried to change the tempo, as it became a typical European match. I was pleased with the result because the team showed great discipline and recovered well when we made a mistake. We are in good shape going into the next game but we have to score some more goals if possible.

We had a hard time getting our strikers to trouble PSV. It was a quick game and was very disappointing that their goal was from a corner. PSV have some very good athletic players but it was a shame that we couldn't keep a clean sheet. We have to put them under more pressure in the return. This match against PSV was a completely different situation to last year [when Monaco won 2-1] because we didn't score and we are sad about that. We also lost because we had some injured players, and in the second leg we will have to win more one-on-one duels.

The atmosphere in the stadium for Champions League matches is always different; they are bigger games and the football is more intense. I was pleased with the result, as now we can be a bit more relaxed when we go to France. We were always dangerous although we didn't always find the right pass. We wanted to score a second goal but it didn't happen. It was a tough game and you always have to be aware of Monaco on the counterattack.
