Liverpool FC have signed French midfield player Alou Diarra on a free transfer from FC Bayern München, the English FA Premiership club said on Tuesday.

Five-year contract
Diarra, 21, is a former France under-20 international and arrived at Bayern two years ago. He has signed a five-year deal and could be joined at Anfield by compatriot Bruno Cheyrou in the next few days, according to a report on the club's website.
