Ponté punished for second time

Bayer 04 Leverkusen winger Robson Ponté has picked up another ban as uefa.com rounds up the disciplinary news.

Five cards
The 28-year-old has already sat out the 1-1 group stage draw at Real Madrid CF on 23 November after picking up a yellow card in each of the previous three matches. He then collected another two cautions - on Matchday 6 and in the 3-1 defeat by Liverpool last week - to leave him as a spectator for next Wednesday's game at the BayArena.

Inter duo
Five other players will also be kicking their heels. Chelsea FC striker Didier Drogba was shown two yellow cards in his team's 2-1 loss at FC Barcelona while FC Internazionale Milano's Iván Cordoba and Giuseppe Favalli, who have accumulated a trio of yellow cards, will both be unavailable when FC Porto arrive in Italy after their 1-1 first-leg draw.

Also banned
The other two players affected are Ponté's team-mate Paul Freier and Juventus FC's Manuele Blasi, with both having had their names taken three times by referees in this season's competition.
