Proto arrives at Anderlecht

The 22-year-old has signed for a reported €1m and will have a five-year contract at the Brussels club. Proto, who made his international debut in November and has started the last five Belgium games, reached an agreement to sign for Anderlecht last week.
Aiming high
Proto is expected to be the club's No1, although he will face competition from Daniël Zitka, Tristan Peersman and Jan Van Steenberghe. He said: "Anderlecht are the only thing I wanted. [Coach Franky] Vercauteren told me I will start at the same level as the other keepers, but I have to show that I am the best."
Opening game
He will be eligible for Anderlecht's opening game of the season on Tuesday, when PFC Neftchi travel to the Belgian capital for the first leg of their second qualifying round tie. The return trip to Azerbaijan will follow on 3 August, with Anderlecht hoping to reach the group stage as they did last season.
