Crouch laid low for Liverpool

The tall English international sustained the injury during last night's 2-0 win against FBK Kaunas at Anfield, with a scan at Liverpool's Melwood training centre confirming that he had strained a hamstring in his right leg. He is now certain to miss at least next week's first leg of his side's third qualifying round tie.

Premiership suspension
The reigning European champions will take on the winner of the encounter between PFC CSKA Sofia and KF Tirana as they look to earn a place in the group stage. Crouch may miss both of those games, and will also miss the opening two matches of the Premiership season due to a suspension he picked up while at Southampton FC.
