Odita produces repeat performance

FC Sheriff 0-1 FK Partizan (agg: 0-2) Just like in the first leg, Nigerian forward Obiora Odita scores the only goal.

One week ago a Obiora Odita goal gave FK Partizan a 1-0 home win against FC Sheriff, and it was a case of déjà vu in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie.

Odita winner
The Moldovan side had high hopes of denying the 2003/04 group stage entrants from Serbia and Montenegro, trailing just 1-0 going into their home leg. But they could not level the tie and were left needing to score three times in the last quarter-hour when Nigerian striker Odita found the target.

Artmedia tie
Partizan ensured victory, and will now take on Slovakian champions FC Artmedia Bratislava - fresh from their extraordinary tie against Celtic FC - in the third qualifying round. The first leg is in Bratislava next week.
