'New role'
Blasi, whose first-team chances have been limited by the summer arrival of Patrick Vieira, operated successfully as a right-back in Wednesday's 2-1 UEFA Champions League win at Club Brugge KV. "I think this can be his new role," said coach Fabio Capello. The 25-year-old has also played for AS Roma, AC Perugia and Parma FC in Serie A. Last season, his first with Juventus, he made 27 appearances to help the Bianconeri to Scudetto glory.
