AJ Auxerre will be without French international striker Djibril Cissé for several weeks after it was revealed his foot injury requires "at least 12 days" of complete rest.
'Dijbril will have to rest'
X-rays showed Cissé has a more serious problem with his left foot than initially thought when he sustained the injury in the 1-1 draw with SC Bastia last Wednesday. "To be sure it won't become more serious, Djibril will have to rest for at least 12 days," coach Guy Roux said.
Misses Dortmund trip
Cissé will miss next week's UEFA Champions League visit to BV Borussia Dortmund although Auxerre are hoping he will be back in time for the 2 October meeting with Arsenal FC.
