Natali nightmare for Udinese

Udinese Calcio defender Cesare Natali will miss the rest of the group stage after fracturing his left ankle during the 4-1 defeat at FC Barcelona.

Udinese Calcio defender Cesare Natali will be out of action for two months after fracturing his left ankle during the 4-1 defeat at FC Barcelona.

Excellent start
The 26-year-old limped out after 33 minutes of Tuesday's match at Camp Nou and will now miss the rest of the group stage. After two Group C games, Udinese are second with three points. Natali had made an excellent start to the season after his move from Atalanta BC, scoring in the Champions League third qualifying round against Sporting Clube de Portugal.

Iaquinta settlement
Meanwhile, Udinese striker Vincenzo Iaquinta has been restored to the first-team squad after missing the Barcelona match over a contract wrangle. The matter has been resolved with Udinese confirming that the 25-year-old will remain with the club until his deal expires in 2007.
