Lahm targets Juve return

FC Bayern München's Germany defender Philipp Lahm has targeted the UEFA Champions League match against Juventus for his comeback from injury.

Juventus double-header
Bayern are preparing for home and away matches against Juventus in Champions League Group A, with the first on 18 October and the return in Turin two weeks later. "I won't make it for the first leg, but maybe for the return," Lahm said. "I'm looking forward to the tie."

World Cup dream
Lahm established himself in Germany's national team while at Stuttgart and should have little problem winning a FIFA World Cup squad place for the hosts, as Jürgen Klinsmann has yet to find a convincing replacement on the left of defence. He has begun training with Bayern's Under-19s and hopes to join the full squad under Felix Magath in a week's time.
