Todorov told to go by Levski

PFC Levski Sofia have sacked assistant coach Georgi Todorov after six years at the club.

Bulgarian Premier League side PFC Levski Sofia have sacked assistant coach Georgi Todorov a week before the second leg of their UEFA Cup first-round match against Brøndby IF.

Caretaker role
The 46-year-old former striker had been with Levski for three years, and served under six men including current coach Slavoljub Muslin. Todorov had also acted as a caretaker coach in between appointments.

'Always ready'
"I am always ready to help the team," said Todorov on his departure. Aleksandar Jankovic will now coach the reserve team. After six games of the domestic season, Levski are in second place, five points behind leaders PFC CSKA Sofia, and hold a 4-1 lead going into the second leg of their UEFA Cup tie against Brøndby on Thursday.
