Qualifying draw - media details

Media accreditation details for the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying competition draw in Montreux on 27 January.
The draw for the UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifying competition will take place at the Convention Centre in Montreux, Switzerland on 27 January 2006 at 12.00CET. In addition, the draw for the qualifying competition of the 2006/07 UEFA European Under-21 Championship will be held at the Raffles Le Montreux Palace at 10.00CET on the same day.

In accordance with seedings
The EURO 2008™ qualifying draw will be made in accordance with the seedings communicated on 14 October by UEFA (see Media Release 117). The coefficients used for the U21 draw have not been decided yet, as this topic is on the agenda of the next meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee on 7/8 November in Malta.

Accreditation deadline
The deadline for accreditations is Friday 13 January 2006. Please note that applications received after the deadline might not be dealt with. All applications will be answered as soon as possible after the deadline. Media, who have never used the online accreditation service before, must first register in order to be able to request accreditation via the same link. No-shows will be taken into consideration for future events. Television and radio rights-holding stations are to address themselves directly to for unilateral broadcast facilities as well as for accreditation requests.

In terms of connectivity, free of charge internet connections via WiFi hotspots (802.11b, DHCP activated, no ports blocked) will be available everywhere in the Montreux Convention Centre. The SSID will be "EURO2008". In addition, there is free internet connection via the LAN (10/100Mbps, DHCP activated, no ports blocked), RJ45 (Cat5) cables at your disposal in the Media Centre. Regarding the telephony, there will be GSM (800MHz) coverage everywhere in the Convention Centre via the Swisscom Mobile network.
