Buffel bouncing back for Rangers

Thomas Buffel may be available for Rangers FC's penultimate Group H match at FC Porto after making good progress in recovering from injury.

Rapid recovery
The 24-year-old forward was expected to miss the rest of the Scottish champions' Group H campaign after suffering a knee injury while playing for Belgium against Spain last month. However, Buffel has surprised club medics with his recovery and could be ready for the trip to Porto on 23 November.

Klos returning
Meanwhile, manager Alex McLeish has confirmed that Stefan Klos will replace Ronald Waterreus for Saturday's Premier League game against Aberdeen FC. The 34-year-old former BV Borussia Dortmund goalkeeper has not played since last January when he damaged knee ligaments in training.
