Rijkaard recovery boosts Barça

FC Barcelona coach Frank Rijkaard has finally shaken off a lung infection to return to the helm of the Spanish champions ahead of the visit of Sevilla FC.

Back in training
The 43-year-old Dutchman has missed Barça's last two matches – the victories against Villarreal CF in the Primera División and Udinese Calcio in the UEFA Champions League – but was able to take first-team training for the first time in a fortnight today.

Course of antibiotics
Rijkaard had to treat the infection with antibiotics at home, while assistant Henk Ten Cate took charge in his absence. The former AC Milan and AFC Ajax player will be back on the bench for Sunday's home game against Sevilla FC. He has been advised to stop smoking in order to make a full recovery.
