Bayern braced for Kahn loss

Oliver Kahn is a major doubt for FC Bayern München's UEFA Champions League first knockout round fixture against AC Milan on Tuesday after limping out of the Bundesliga leaders' 1-1 draw with Hannover 96 this afternoon.

The Germany goalkeeper sustained extensive bruising to his right thigh at the Niederachsenstadion, and was replaced by Michael Rensing six minutes after half-time. "All I can say is that really hurts right now and I have no idea if I can play against Milan," the 36-year-old said after the game. "We will do everything we can before Tuesday though." An integral member of the side, Kahn has missed just nine league games in the last six seasons with Bayern.
