Parnaby poses Middlesbrough problem

Middlesbrough FC will be without Stuart Parnaby for up to four weeks due to a hamstring strain, ruling the right-back out of both legs against AS Roma.

Middlesbrough FC are likely to be without Stuart Parnaby for up to four weeks after the right-back picked up a hamstring strain in Saturday's Premiership victory against Birmingham City FC.

Roma absence
The injury, which forced the defender off after 19 minutes at the Riverside stadium, will keep the 23-year-old out of both legs of the UEFA Cup Round of 16 tie against AS Roma. The first meeting between the sides takes place in England on Thursday night with the return at the Stadio Olimpico on 15 March.

Regular role
Parnaby scored in the first leg of Middlesbrough's victory against VfB Stuttgart in the Round of 32. He was replaced by Andrew Davies on Saturday, although English Under-19 international right-back Tony McMahon has recently returned to full fitness having missed the majority of the season with a shoulder problem.
