Del Piero ruled out of Arsenal test

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero will play no part in Wednesday's decider against Arsenal FC after failing to recover from a thigh injury.

Thigh injury
The 31-year-old forward has not played since limping off in the early stages of the 1-1 draw against AS Roma on 25 March. Del Piero, Juventus's all-time leading scorer, missed last week's 2-0 defeat at Highbury but had hoped to feature at the Delle Alpi after tests conducted yesterday showed that he was recovering well. However, the Italian international had a fitness test today but was unable to complete a training session.
