Liberec find signing in Sales

FC Slovan Liberec have boosted their attacking options by signing striker João Sales from Brazilian First Division side AD São Caetano.

One-season deal
The 20-year-old Brazilian has accepted a one-year contract with the Czech champions and although ineligible for the second leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie against FC Spartak Moskva, will be able to play in the group stage should Liberec progress.

Parks injury
"I want to be the leading goalscorer at the club," said João Sales, whose arrival comes a week after Costa Rican international Winston Parks joined from FC Lokomotiv Moskva. Parks got off to the worst possible start as he sustained an ankle injury in Wednesday's 0-0 home draw with Spartak which will sideline him for several weeks.
