England call up Watford youngster

Watford FC forward Ashley Young is the new face in England's 24-man squad for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifier against Switzerland.

Positive attitude
Young will be in line to make his debut in Luzern on 6 September, with coach Peter Taylor knowing England have to better their 2-2 draw against Moldova in Ipswich to progress to the next stage of the competition. "Switzerland have produced some very strong teams in recent years and we know we'll have to play better than we did at Ipswich. However, there is every reason to be positive. We have a really good group of players and the spirit is first-class."
