København bring back Nørregaard

FC København have made their first signing since reaching the group stage, bringing Hjalte Bo Nørregaard "back home" after a season with SC Heerenveen.

FC København have made their first signing since qualifying for the UEFA Champions League group stage for the first time, bringing Hjalte Bo Nørregaard back to the club after a season with Dutch club SC Heerenveen.

'Special feeling'
The 25-year-old midfielder, who will have a four-and-a-half year contract, said: "I'm really looking forward to coming home. I've always had a special feeling about the club and it's going to be great playing at the Parken again. Being in the Champions League makes the move even more exciting." The Danish title-winners will meet SL Benfica, Manchester United FC and Celtic FC in Group F.

Confidence
København chairman Flemming Østergaard was delighted to land a player who scored 12 goals in 89 league matches for the Lions before his switch to the Eredivisie, saying: "It's nice to bring an old FCK player back home. We know what Hjalte is all about and I'm in no doubt that he'll fit right into our current squad."
