UEFA Stadia Committee chairman Ernie Walker has expressed his satisfaction with UEFA EURO 2004™ stadium construction during a routine inspection trip to Lisbon and Faro/Loulé.

Algarve investment
In Faro/Loulé, Walker remarked that the Algarve stadium was an investment in the area's tourist industry. And in Lisbon, he visited the new Sport Lisboa e Benfica and the new José de Alvalade stadiums.

Evolution of stadium
Speaking at the future new home of Benfica, he said. "It is a pleasure to observe the evolution of this construction. It is already possible to see its magnificence and to imagine it full of supporters." The UEFA Stadia Committee will continue its trip with visits to Leiria, Coimbra, Aveiro and Porto.
