Giggs hamstrung by new injury

Manchester United FC's Ryan Giggs could be out for three weeks after suffering a hamstring injury in the 3-2 victory against Celtic FC at Old Trafford.

Manchester United FC's Ryan Giggs could be out for three weeks after limping off with a hamstring injury during yesterday's 3-2 victory against Celtic FC in UEFA Champions League Group F.

'Very unfortunate'
The 32-year-old Welsh international winger picked up the knock when he was brought down by Celtic goalkeeper Artur Boruc on the half-hour. Louis Saha converted the resulting spot-kick but Giggs, who was sidelined by knee and cheekbone injuries last season, lasted just three more minutes before being replaced by Ole Gunnar Solskjær. "It's very unfortunate for us and Ryan," said manager Sir Alex Ferguson. The Giggs setback came hours after Korea Republic midfielder Park Ji Sung was ruled out for up to three months after learning he must undergo surgery on torn ankle ligaments.
