Levski suffer striking setback

PFC Levski Sofia's hopes of improving on their 5-0 defeat by FC Barcelona when Chelsea FC visit Bulgaria have been hit by injury to striker Valeri Domovchiyski.

PFC Levski Sofia's hopes of improving on their 5-0 UEFA Champions League debut defeat by FC Barcelona when Chelsea FC visit Bulgaria on 27 September have been hit by injury to striker Valeri Domovchiyski.

'A pity'
The 19-year-old sat out Tuesday's Group A trip to the Camp Nou due to a stomach muscle injury sustained on Bulgaria Under-21 duty on 3 September. Levski coach Stanimir Stoilov had expected him to return to fitness in time for the Bulgarian champions' first-ever UEFA Champions League home game, against Chelsea, but Domovchiyski now needs another three weeks' treatment. "Valeri will have to rest for around 20 days," Stoilov confirmed. "It is a pity as he will miss the league derby against [PFC] CSKA Sofia as well as the Chelsea match." Domovchiyski has scored 21 goals in 39 Premier League outings.
