Farfán fitness concerns PSV

Jefferson Farfán may miss PSV Eindhoven's trip to FC Girondins de Bordeaux next week after being concussed during his side's 2-1 win against Feyenoord.

Jefferson Farfán may miss PSV Eindhoven's UEFA Champions League trip to FC Girondins de Bordeaux next week after being concussed during Sunday's victory against Feyenoord.

Clash of heads
The Peruvian forward was involved in a clash of heads with team-mate Patrick Kluivert 15 minutes before the end of their 2-1 Eredivisie win, in which he had scored the opening goal. Examinations in hospital revealed he had sustained concussion but that there had been no more serious injury.

Cocu doubtful
None the less, he is expected to miss the Dutch Cup game against Kozakken Boys and the league fixture against ADO Den Haag and it is not yet clear whether he will be fit to take on Bordeaux on 27 September. PSV captain Phillip Cocu is also on the sidelines after tearing his thigh muscle in training at the end of last week.
