The AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Joey Didulica is recovering after taking the full force of a shot in the face during Sunday's 3-1 loss to PSV Eindhoven which ended his side’s unbeaten start to the season.
Concussion
The 29-year-old was hit by a shot from Jason Culina and spent today undergoing tests which confirmed concussion. The Croatian international has been ruled out for up to four weeks, during which time No2 Khalid Sinouh will deputise. Having beaten SC Braga 3-0 in their opening Group C game, AZ are next in UEFA Cup action at Grasshopper-Club on 2 November.
