Kakha Kaladze could miss the rest of AC Milan's group stage campaign in the UEFA Champions League after suffering a thigh injury, although concerns about Alessandro Nesta have been eased.

Month out
The 28-year-old Kaladze injured his left leg in the warm-up for last Wednesday's 4-1 home win against RSC Anderlecht, and failed to make the starting lineup. A scan has confirmed he will be out of action for a month, ruling him out of the trip to AEK Athens FC on 21 November and probably the home game against LOSC Lille Métropole on 6 December.

Better news
Nesta damaged his right shoulder in the same match, and was replaced by Cafu after just 19 minutes, but medical staff have said he will only be out of action for a week. He could therefore return to face AEK, when Milan need just a point to make sure of their progress to the knockout stages. The Rossoneri lead Group H after four games with ten points, five ahead of Lille.
