New look to Norway

Nils Johan Semb has named an unfamiliar squad for Norway's new year friendlies.

Norway coach Nils Johan Semb has named a squad for his team's friendlies against the United Arab Emirates and Oman in the new year.

No Premiership players
The trainer will be without his English Premiership players for the matches against the UAE in Dubai on 26 January and the trip to Oman two days later. Instead, Semb will give a chance to his home-based players, including six from Norwegian Premier Division champions Rosenborg BK.

Section leaders
Norway, who lead their UEFA EURO 2004™ qualifying section, Group 2, with two wins from three game, continue their campaign away in Luxembourg on 2 April. Norway will also entertain Scandinavian rivals Finland in a friendly in Oslo on 22 May, ahead of the qualifying ties against Denmark and Romania in June.

Norway squad
Holtan, Olsen, Basma, Berntsen, Borgersen, Dahl, Hangeland, Kah, Pereira, Riseth, Enerly, Hanssen, Helstad, Hestad, Hoset, Karadas, Kvisvik, Rushfeldt, Strand, Winsnes.
