Miccoli wants Manchester mastery

'A good show'
Miccoli struck two of Benfica's three first-half goals as they swept the Danish champions aside to set up a Matchday 6 showdown with Manchester United FC. Two points behind United in Group F, Benfica need to win at Old Trafford to progress to the last 16 but Miccoli believes the way they responded to last Saturday's disappointing Liga defeat at SC Braga should boost confidence for the challenge ahead. "After the game in Braga it was very important to put on a good show and get a good result and I hope we can continue to play like we did tonight," the Italian told uefa.com.

"In the first half we played very, very well, we created a lot of chances to score and got three goals," he said. "It wasn't a case of København being weak opposition - it was about us working hard as a team and playing better. Of course, it will be very difficult to get a result in Manchester as they're a very strong team but in football everything is possible and we will give it our best."
