Serbia striker Nikola Žigić has pulled out of Wednesday's UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier against Belgium because of an ankle injury.

No replacement
Žigić has been struggling with the injury for the past two weeks and it prevented him from playing in his new side Valencia CF's 3-0 UEFA Champions League third qualifying round first leg win against IF Elfsborg last week. Serbia coach Javier Clemente, who has not called up a replacement, hopes to have Žigić, 26, fit again for the qualifiers against Finland and Portugal next month. Serbia are joint-second in Group A, five points behind Poland but with two games in hand.
