Higuaín makes Beşiktaş switch

Beşiktaş JK have agreed to bring young Argentinian forward Federico Martín Higuaín to the Istanbul club for three years in a €1.5m transfer from CA River Plate.

Süper Lig side Beşiktaş JK have agreed to sign Argentinian forward Federico Martín Higuaín in a transfer worth €1.5m from CA River Plate.

Three-year deal
The 22-year-old, who can play in midfield as well as attack, has accepted a three-year contract with Beşiktaş who have won their opening two games of the season in Turkey and go into the second leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie against FC Zürich on level terms after a 1-1 draw in Switzerland.

Loan spell
Higuaín has spent the last two campaigns loaned from River Plate to CA Nueva Chicago, scoring 13 times in 35 games in the Argentinian top flight last term. The older brother of Real Madrid CF forward Gonzalo Higuaín, he joins a South American contingent at Beşiktaş that includes Ricardinho, Matías Delgado, Rodrigo Tello, Márcio and Bobo.
