Grygera to miss Czech ties

Zdeněk Grygera will miss the Czech Republic's UEFA EURO 2008™ Group D qualifiers against San Marino and the Republic of Ireland after straining a thigh muscle.

New Juventus signing Zdeněk Grygera will be out of action for three to four weeks after suffering a left thigh strain during the Czech Republic's 1-1 friendly draw against Austria earlier this week.

Free transfer
The former AC Sparta Praha right-back joined Juventus on a free transfer from AFC Ajax this summer but will miss the start of the new season as the Bianconeri kick off at home against AS Livorno Calcio on Saturday. Grygera will also miss his country’s UEFA EURO 2008™ Group D qualifiers against San Marino and Republic of Ireland on 8 and 12 September respectively. The Czech Republic are currently second in the group, five points behind leaders Germany.
