Freund takes DFB coaching role

The German Football Association (DFB) has appointed former international midfielder Steffen Freund as assistant coach to the Under-20 team under Frank Engel. Freund, who won EURO '96™ with Germany and the 1997 UEFA Champions League with BV Borussia Dortmund, said: "I am looking forward to my new task and I am confident of learning a lot from the experienced Frank Engel."
