Toulouse FC's former Sweden Under-21 defender Jon Jönsson is out for the next two months as an ankle injury sustained in training requires surgery.

Frustrating start
The 24-year-old will undergo surgery early next week, with his team going to PFC CSKA Sofia on 4 October with the score at 0-0 in their UEFA Cup first round tie. Former Sweden Under-21 player Jönsson, who signed from Allsvenskan title-holders IF Elfsborg in the summer having once been on the books of Tottenham Hotspur FC, has only made one Ligue 1 appearance this season in the 3-1 opening defeat at Valenciennes FC.
