Walcott among Pearce's picks

Arsenal FC forward Theo Walcott has been included in the England squad for their qualifiers against Bulgaria and Portugal alongisde the returning James Vaughan.

Walcott return
There had been speculation that Walcott would return to the senior squad but the 18-year-old remains in Pearce's side alongside his 2005 U17 finals squad-mate James Vaughan, back from injury. Sunderland AFC midfielder Grant Leadbitter has also been selected, but West Ham United FC midfielder Mark Noble misses out with a hernia problem. "We've got some absentees with Mark Noble, Michael Johnson and Martin Cranie all out but have been able to bring in some new players who have been looking good this season," said Pearce, whose team are top of Group 3 with four wins out of four and meet Bulgaria on 16 November before travelling to Portugal four days later.
